i sat down to do a running record with a little one in first grade. "let's read this book together!" i said excitedly with the materials (book and running record recording sheet) in my hand. it wasn't until i'd opened the book in my lap that i realized i'd given her the running record sheet and the pen and i'd taken the book as though she was going to do a running record on me. i must be really, really tired.
maybe i'm just wishing i was home reading on this rainy day.
